With her extensive knowledge and passion for music, Sistashree invites others to make connections between historical, cultural, and sacred aspects of music to dates important to Black History, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday and Juneteenth.

Sistashree performs each year during Black History Month, with her last performance occurring on February 23rd, 2020 at the John V. Lindsay Acadamy located in lower Manhattan. The event is both a musical performance and a dialogue, focused on the African American experience yesterday, today, and hope for tomorrow.

With hope on the horizon for live performances, Sistashree would like to continue to perform at colleges, universities, and libraries next year during Black History Month. If you’re interested in booking Sistashree for a live performance, contact her using the contact form on the homepage.
